HOW IT HAPPENED:

Riley Brunner (Lawrenceburg, IN / Lawrenceburg) went on a seven point service run to put the match out of reach, resulting in a 25-17 set one victory. The second set told the same story, the Lions got an early lead but Hanover battled back to keep the score close. The Panthers would go on six point service run to lead them into the final points. The Lions gained the momentum to bring the score back but back to back errors from the Lions resulted in a 25-22 victory for the Panthers. Hanover continued to challenge the Lions in the third set. The set stayed within two points but a block from Briana Looney (Harrison, OH / Harrison) and Hannah Meckstroth (North Bend, OH / Taylor) and a kill from Cailey Plemmons (Oxford, OH / Talawanda) would give the Lions a tight 25-22 victory over the Panthers.
