The Lions Women's Lacrosse Picked to Finish 3rd in HCLC

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference has released the preseason coaches poll and the Mount St. Joseph Women's Lacrosse team was predicted to finish third place in the conference. The Lions finished last season with a record of 6-10, finishing in a fourth place tie. The Lions are looking to finish in the top and make it into the conference tournament this season.

The Lions return key player Brianna Brannon (Cincinnati, OH / Seton) on attack this season. Last season, as a defender, Brannon recorded 20 goals, 13 assists, and 74 ground balls. Other key player to look out for this season for The Lions include sophomore Sydney Vinel (Cleves, OH / Seton), senior Joy Glacken (Cleves, OH / Taylor), and freshmen Olivia Hocker (Liberty Township, OH / Lakota West) and Megan Dancer (Springboro, OH / Springboro). These key players as well as the rest of the team hope to lead The Lions on a successful run this 2019 season.

The Lions begin the 2019 season on Saturday, March 2nd at St. Mary's (Notre Dame, Ind). The Lions first home game will be the following weekend on Sunday, March 10th against Alma College at 1:00PM. Continue to check out MSJSports.com to stay up to date on The Lions this season!
