DeeDee (Davis) Morris enters her fifth season at the Mount in 2019-2020 as an assistant softball coach, where she will assist with recruiting, defense and hitting instruction, and overall player development.  In her past four seasons alongside head coach, Beth Goderwis, Morris has helped lead the Lions to back to back to back 20 plus win seasons, back to back conference tournament appearances, the programs first ever regular season HCAC conference title and a program best in 2019, 35 and 7 record.  Also in her four complete seasons the Lions have received over 20 plus HCAC conference recognitions, including numerous all conference players, freshman of the year in 2018, and head coach, Beth Goderwis, back to back coach of the year awards in 2018 and 2019.      

Prior to MSJ, DeeDee was a graduate assistant for a year at Northern Kentucky University where she also completed her playing career.  In her four years at NKU as a player she played every inning of every game at second base. She also helped lead the Norse to a Division II Midwest Regional Championship in 2012, was named first team all-conference, and was a captain for three years. After the transition to Division I, Davis saw huge strides offensively, leading the team in batting average her junior and senior year, and homeruns with seven her senior year.

Before playing at NKU, Davis was a multiple varsity letter winner at Shelby County High School in Shelbyville, Kentucky. With her softball team she made three state tournament appearances, was selected First Team All-State, 8th region Player of the Year, and received numerous district and region all-tournament team selections along with being named Athlete of the Month numerous times in softball and basketball. She also played on the Louisville Lady Slugger 18U travel ball team for three summers and won an ASA Gold National Championship in 2010.


Currently, Morris resides in Northern Kentucky with her husband Chris Morris.
