Beth Goderwis returns for her 15th season overall and 14th full season as the softball head coach with the Mount for the 2015-2016 school year. She also will be starting her third season as head coach for the Lions' women's golf program. She helped direct the Lions' softball program to a turnaround season in 2015, with the Mount recording a 19-13 overall mark.

The Lions’ coach achieved her 100th career softball coaching win at the Mount during the 2008 season, something only one other Lions’ softball coach has done, with a 3-2 home win over Transylvania University, on April 8, 2008.

After finishing 10-6 in HCAC play in 2008, the Mount returned to the HCAC Tournament under Goderwis where they went 2-2, advancing to the championship game. In 2006, Goderwis directed the Mount to a 17-24 mark, a fourth place finish in the HCAC regular season and to within one game of the HCAC Tournament championship game. Goderwis, who started the 2002 season as an assistant coach, took over as head coach of the team that season just before HCAC Tournament. In 2003 she led the Lions to a second place HCAC finish in the regular season, a second straight HCAC Tournament Championship and a second consecutive qualification to the NCAA Division III post-season tournament. The 2005 season saw her direct the Mount to a third-place finish in the HCAC regular season and finish with an overall record of 18-14.

Prior to coming to the Mount, Goderwis coached fast-pitch softball and basketball at Notre Dame Academy in Kentucky, and was as assistant softball coach at Anderson High School in Cincinnati. Goderwis played fast-pitch softball in Columbia, S.C., and she was a member of the Airport High School state runner-up team in 1980 and 1981. She was named High School Athlete of the Year in 1981.

Goderwis also played fast pitch softball her senior year at Bath High School in Lima, Ohio, where the team was District Champion in 1982 and she was named All Sports Athlete of the Year. Goderwis continues to play in recreational leagues. She has also played and coached basketball, and is presently the head junior varsity girls' basketball coach at Cooper High School in Union, KY. She is a member of the NFCA (National Fast-pitch Coaches Association).

She is also employed by Sibcy Cline as a real estate sales agent. Goderwis and her husband, Alan, reside in Independence, Ky.
