Lions end regular season with a loss to the Grizzlies

The Basics:

The Lions finished the first half of the game trailing the Grizzlies 2-0. The second half came and went and with the final buzzer the Mount fell to Franklin 4-1.

How it Happened:

The Lions traveled to Franklin College to take on the Grizzlies in this Saturday afternoon conference competition. In the first half Franklin was able to get an early goal and then another in the back half of the first half. The first half ended with Franklin leading 2-0.

In the second half the Grizzlies got another early goal to take their lead to 3-0. When the Grizzlies found a way to get their fourth goal of the game the Lions answered back immediately with a goal by Joshua Bailey (Winchester, KY / George Rogers Clark). The time ran out and the Lions could not make up the difference and finished the game down 4-1.

Lion Hearted Performance:

The Lion Hearted Performance goes to Bailey who scored a second half goal to keep the Lions from being shutout in the game against the Grizzlies of Franklin College.

Up Next:

This game wraps up the 2018-2019 season for the men's soccer team. The team finished the season with a 5-12-1 record and a 4-5 conference record leading to a 6th place finish. Check in next year to see the Lions try again to best the rest of the HCAC Conference. Great season boys!
