It wasn't until the bottom of the 7th inning until either team got on the scoreboard. After two singles and a fielder's choice, Darren Sackett (Loveland, OH / Loveland) stepped to the plate and singled down the right field line, bringing home a run. Anderson quickly answered with two runs in the 8th off multiple singles. Wyatt Myers (Waynesville, OH / Waynesville) came into the game in the 9th and tallied two strikeouts of his own. Anderson was first on the board with a run in the 1st inning. With one out and a man on base in the top of the 3rd, a ball off the bat of a Raven was driven to deep left center field. Center fielder Trevor Theuerling (Cincinnati, OH / Clark Montessori) chased the ball down and made a miraculous diving catch that saved the Lions multiple runs.
The Lions achieved their first run with an RBI single to left center from Luke Bowman (Harrison, OH / Harrison) in the 4th. Up one, Anderson scored four runs in the 5th, bringing the score to 6-1.
The Lions were able to score 3 runs in the 7th behind Brandon Shelton's (Cincinnati, OH / Northwest) double off the left field wall. Anderson plated 3 more runs in the top half of the 8th, resulting in a final score to 9-4.
