Saturday was the final regular season match for two mount seniors; Nicole Sherpensky (Cincinnati, OH/Northwest) and Hannah Vanarsdall (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley). The Lions honored the two senior captains before dismantling Earlham College in 3 sets (25-18, 25-11, 25-16). 

Sherpensky led the Lions in kills with eight during the match, while also adding three blocking assists. Vanarsdall also played a big role for the Lions finishing the day with five kills and three digs for the Lions. 

The Lions were in control throughout the match thanks in part to Torrie Whitmore (Mason, OH/Mason) who chipped in 25 assists to be along with three kills and .750 hitting percentage. 

Emma Beyer (Liberty Township, OH/Mt. Notre Dame) was strong in defense for the Lions leading the team with nine digs. Beyer also added in three service aces in the match.

The Lions finish the regular season with a 16-16 (7-2 HCAC) record, good enough to earn the #3 seed in the HCAC Tournament. The Lions will host a quarterfinal match against Bluffton University Tuesday at 7 P.M. in the Harrington Center.
