 Visiting Thomas More College posted set three and four win over the Mount on Friday night, as they upended the Lions by a 3-1 score in the first day of action of the Charlie Wrublewski Tournament. The Mount, 0-4 on the season, will take on Heidelberg Unviersity and DePauw University on Sept. 7 in the day of the tournament.

The Saints won set one, 25-18, but the Lions bounced back to grab set two, 25-21, when they tied the set at 21-all on a kill by Hannah Vanarsdall (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) , and went on to score the game's next four points and claim the win when Jessica Wilgenbusch (Sunman, IN/East Central) posted a kill. The two teams played close throughout the final two sets of the match, but the Saints pulled away after a 10-all tie in the fourth set en route to the win.

Bethani Ritter (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) had eight kills and seven digs for the Mount, while Nicole Sherpensky (Cincinnati, OH/Northwest) added seven kills and three blocks. Torrie Whitmore (Mason, OH/Mason) chipped in 23 assists and seven digs while Vanarsdall added six kills and 14 digs for the Lions.
