Lions' women's volleyball program welcomes two more first-year players for fall

The College of Mount St. Joseph officially announces that the following high school seniors will attend the College in the fall and play volleyball. They are: Hannah Mossman (Northwest High School) and Chelsea Shanklin (Monroe High School).

Mossman, a 6-foot outside hitter, played for high school Head Coach Lindsey Casteel and also played for the Clippard YMCA Club team. She was a First Team All-FAVC selection (2011-2012), and First Team All-SWOC honoree (2012-2013), as well as a Knight Award winner. Mossman was active in many school clubs, including the Key Club, PTSA and Knights group. Hannah, the daughter of Sandy and Jerry Mossman, is planning on majoring in Sport Management.

Shanklin, a 5-foot-8 libero, played for high school Head Coach Stephanie Stenger and was a member of the Borderline Volleyball Club team. Following her junior season she was named Second Team All-League and as a senior was named First Team All-League and Second Team All-District. Shanklin was also on her school’s Honor Roll. Chelsea, the daughter of Lisa and Ronnie Shanklin, is planning on majoring in Biology.
