The College of Mount St. Joseph women’s volleyball program has named its 2013 team captains. Those chosen to help lead the way this coming fall are: senior-to-be Nicole Sherpensky (Cincinnati, OH/Northwest), senior-to-be Hannah Vanarsdall (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley), and junior-to-be Janelle Davis (Convoy, OH/Wayne Trace). This will be Sherpensky’s second season as a team captain.

Sherpensky led the Mount in 2012 in kills (318), hitting percentage (.235) and blocks (98). Vanarsdall recorded 269 kills, 159 digs, and 42 blocks, while Davis led the Lions in assists (674), had 169 digs, and 22 service aces. Sherpensky was named First Team All-HCAC and AVCA Division III All-Great Lakes Honorable Mention last fall.
