Lions' volleyball team welcomes first-year player Oakley Shane for the fall season

The College of Mount St. Joseph officially announces that Norwalk (OH) HIgh School senior Oakley Shane will attend the College in the fall and play volleyball for the Lions.

Shane, a 5-foot-8 defensive specialist, played for high school Head Coach Angie Kalizewski, was a First Team All-NOL selection and a Second Team All-District honoree as a sophomore, and a Second Team All-NOL selection as a junior. She was named Honorable Mention All-League as a senior. Shane was a four-year letter-winner in volleyball, won her team's Hustle Award, and was a team captain for three seasons. In addition, she was on her school's Honor Roll for four years, and a Homecoming Queen.

Shane, the daughter of Lorri and Scott Shane, is planning on majoring in Social Work.
