College of Mount St. Joseph junior middle blocker Nicole Sherpensky (Cincinnati, OH/Northwest), who recently was named the HCAC Tournament MVP as she helped her team to a Tournament title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament, has been named AVCA Division III All-Great Lakes Region Honorable Mention.

Sherpensky, who leads the Mount in kills, hitting percentage and blocks, claimed her first such region award. The Lions (14-14) will take on third-ranked Washington (MO) University (29-3) on Friday, Nov. 9 at Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Ill.
