2014 HCAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coaches Poll released

Defiance College’s women’s track and field team has been selected to win the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference outdoor championship.  In a poll of the
ten HCAC head coaches, the Yellow Jackets received 95 total points and six first place votes. Hanover College came in a close second in the poll, receiving four, first place votes and totaling 94 points.

The rest of the poll in order was: Anderson University and Franklin College (tied at third), Manchester College, Transylvania University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Bluffton University, Earlham College, and the Mount.

The following Lions' athletes were selected as "Athletes to Watch": Rachel Blevins (Middletown, OH/Madison), Junior, Throws; and Cassandra Howell (Cincinnati, OH/Glen Este), Junior, Sprints/Relays.
