Women's Track competes at HCAC Indoor Championships

The College of Mount St. Joseph track and field team competed at the HCAC Indoor Championships held at Anderson University. The Lions did not earn a team score on the day. Defiance earned the HCAC Championship title with 149 points. They were followed closely by Hanover in second with 135, followed by host Anderson with 100.

Cassandra Howell (Cincinnati, OH/Glen Este) had a strong performacne for the Lions with a ninth place finish in the 60 meter dash, with a season best time of 8.45. She also finished 13th in the 200 meter dash, running a 28.98. Marissa Chmabers (Williamsburg, OH/CNE) finished 17th in the shot put at her first HCAC meet. She has a season best throw of 8.90 meters. 

The Lions will be back in action on March 1 at Anderson University for their final indoor meet of the season. The outdoor season will begin Saturday, March 22 when the Lions patricipate in the Muskingum University Invitational.
