Women's Track and Field Garners Eighth Place Finish At Rose-Hulman Invitational

The College of Mount St. Joseph women's track team competed in the Rose-Hulman Engineer Invitational on Saturday. The Lions finished in eighth place, with 11 points, at the meet held in Terre Haute, Indiana. Washington University was the event champion finishing with 177 points, followed closely by Bellarmine University with 136 points.

Rachel Blevins (Middletown, OH/Madison) had a strong showing for the Lions. Blevins earned a fith place finish in the weight throw with a season long throw of 10.83 meters. Her performance earned the Lions four points. Cassie Howell (Cincinnati, OH/Glen Este) also had a good day. Howell finished seventh in the 60 meter dash. Her time of 8.70 earned the Lions two points. Howell was also the anchor of the 4x200 relay team that earned a fifth place finish and five points. 

The Lions return to action at the Anderson University Raven Invitational February 8th.
