On Saturday the Lions made the short trip to the University of Cincinnati to compete in the UC Outdoor Early Bird Meet. The Lions placed 10th out of the 11 teams, finishing with eight points. The University of Cincinnati finished first with 145 points, followed by Wright State with 92, and Bowling Green with 79.

In the 200 meter race, Samantha Greco (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain) and Trinity Saner (Taylor Mill, KY/Scott) each earned a point for the Lions. Greco ran a 29.48, while Saner finished the race with a time of 28.96. Saner, with teammate Brandy Deaton (Burlington, KY/Cooper) also each eanred a point with their results in the long jump competition. Saner posted a 4.85 meter jump, with a 4.12 meter jump by Deaton. 

The Lions return to the track next Friday, March 22 when they host the College of Mount St. Joseph Invitational. The meet will begin at noon.
