On Saturday, the Lions traveled to Defiance, Ohio to compete in the HCAC Championships. The Lions placed 10th, tallying two points. The top three team finishers were Hanover (166), Rose-Hulman (116), and Franklin (110). This is the last indoor meet of the seaosn for the Lions as a team, but individuals will still have the ability to qualify for nationals at next week's Last Chance Meet, March 2 at Tiffin University.

The Lions earned their points in the 4x200-meter relay where they have been strong this year. The team of Samantha Buschle (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy), Trinity Saner (Taylor Mill, KY/Scott), Samantha Greco (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain), and Emily Wolhfrom (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills) ran the 800 meters in 1:59.24. This time was good enough to earn them seventh place, and both of the Lions' points in the meet.

If any member of the team does well enough to qualify at Tiffin, then they will compete at the NCAA Division III National meet in March 8-9 in Napierville, Illinois.
