On Saturday the Lions competed in a non-scoring meet at Anderson University. The Lions did have multiple competitors record season-bests, as well as place in the top 10.

Three Lions competed in the shot put with Kaitlyn Maus (Hamilton, OH/Hamilton-Badin) placing third with a throw of 8.57 meters, followed by Gina Carmosino (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy), who placed fifth with a throw of 8.27 meters. Faith Koehne (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) placed sixth with a throw of 8.19 meters. Carmosino also placed fourth in the weight throw with a throw of 9.80 meters on her last attempt. Maus also participated in the weight throw, and placed right behind her teammate in fifth place with a throw of 9.31 meters.

The Lions will be back in action next weekend, Feb. 16, when they travel to Defiance, Ohio to compete in the HCAC Championships.
