Women's Track & Field places seventh at the Otterbein University Invitational

On Saturday the Lions traveled to Westerville, OH to compete in the Otterbein Invitational. The women placed 7th with 18 points. The champion was the home team Otterbein who scored 209.50 points followed by Wilmington College with 101 points.

For the Lions the women's 4x200 meter relay team, which consisted of Samantha Buschle(Cincinnati, OH/Mercy), Samantha Greco(Cincinnati, OH/Colerain), Emily Wolhfrom(Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills), and Brandy Deaton(Burlington, KY/Cooper), placed 3rd in the finals. Deaton also participated in the high jump where she placed eighth with a jump of 1.32 meters in the finals. 

Paige Apel(Cincinnati, OH/Seton) and Kaitlyn Maus (Hamilton, OH/Hamilton-Badin) placed seventh and eighth respectively in the shot put with throws of 8.62 meters and 8.29 meters in the finals.  

The Lions will return to action next Saturday at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Inviational.
