Lions’ women’s tennis to welcome three newcomers this fall to team

They are recent high school graduates Sarah Gravunder (Lehman Catholic High School) and Jenna Roberts (Wooster High School), and University of Cincinnati transfer Kristin Staley (Mercy High School), who attended the Mount in the spring of 2014.

Gravunder, from Piqua, Ohio, played for high school Head Coach William Harrelson. During her senior season she advanced to the District Championships in the doubles competition. Gravunder was named Team MVP her senior season and won her team’s Coaches’ Award as a junior. She was also in the National Honor Society, the Science Olympiad, on the Mock Trial, as well as other groups, in addition to playing softball while in high school.

Sarah is the daughter of Lisa and Bradley Gravunder. She plans to major in Chemistry.

Roberts, from Wooster, Ohio, played for high school Head Coach Stan Burris. She also was in the Key Club and History Club; and played high school basketball and lacrosse.

Jenna is the daughter of Michelle and Jeff Roberts. She plans to major in Accounting.
