Mount women's tennis suffers HCAC loss against Transylvania University

Undefeated Transylvania won all five singles matches and both doubles matches played, and picked up two other forfeit wins, as they went on to a 9-0 win at the Mount on Wednesday. The Lions, 1-6 overall, 0-5 in the HCAC, will be back in action on Oct. 5 at Manchester University.

Third singles player Felicia Shadwick (Middletown, OH/Monroe) won five games in her match, falling 6-1 and 6-4 while teammate Shelby Betz (Hamilton, OH/Lakota West), at first singles, posted four game wins, losing 6-3, 6-1. Morgan Hoehn (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain) and Betz dropped their first doubles match, 8-3. Transy improved its record to 5-0 overall, 4-0 in the conference.
