Lions' women's tennis team suffers home loss to HCAC-rival Anderson University

The Mount's women's tennis team dropped to 1-3 overall, 0-2 in the HCAC on Saturday as they took at 9-0 loss at home against Anderson University.

Shelby Betz (Hamilton, OH/Lakota West) won four games in her first singles match against her Anderson opponent, losing 6-1, 6-3 while fifth singles player Sarah Kennedy (Harrrison, OH/Harrison) also won four games in her singles match, falling 6-2, 6-2. Betz and teammate Morgan Hoehn (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain) teamed at first singles, dropping a 9-8 tie-break set, 7-5.

The Lions return to action on Sept. 23 for another HCAC match - at Hanover College (3-1, 2-0 HCAC).
