The Mount women's tennis team received a singles and doubles win each from Shelby Betz (Hamilton, OH/Lakota West) and Morgan Hoehn (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain) on Monday, as they rolled to a 9-0 win over visiting Miami University Middletown. The Lions, 1-1 on the season, resume action on Sept. 14 when they open HCAC play at Franklin College.

Betz won on a three-set tiebreaker at first singles, and teammate Hoehn posted a 7-5, 6-2 win at second singles. The two also combined to record an 8-3 win at first doubles. Felicia Shadwick (Middletown, OH/Monroe) and teammate Harley Huston (East Palestine, IN/East Palestine) each lost only one game in their matches, as they collected wins at third and fourth singles, respectively.
