Mount women's tennis team drops 7-2 road match at Thomas More College

The College of Mount St. Joseph women's tennis team opened the 2013 season on Wednesday at cross-river rival Thomas More College, falling by a 7-2 score. The Mount received a third singles win from Felicia Shadwick (Middldetown, OH/Monroe), 2-6, 6-4 (10-4) and had their first doubles team of Shelby Betz (Hamilton, OH/Lakota West) and Morgan Hoehn (Cincinnat, OH/Colerain) win 8-4.

Hoehn dropped her second singles match by a 6-1, 7-5 score, while Betz won four games at first singles.

The Lions return to action on Sept. 9 when they host Miami University Middletown.
