Visiting Franklin College scored a goal in each half and held the Mount off the scoreboard late Saturday afternoon as they recorded a 2-0 win over the Lions. The Mount, which saw its two-game HCAC win streak end is now 3-9-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference. They return to HCAC play on Oct. 15 at Rose-Hulman. The Engineers lead the conference with a 3-0 mark, and are 7-2-4 overall.

The Grizzlies scored goals in the 33rd and 68th minutes of action, and withstood 10 Mount shots in posting the shutout win. Franklin improved to 8-4 overall with the win, 2-1 in the HCAC. Madison Freeman (Wilder, KY/Newport Central Catholic) played all 90 minutes in goal for the Lions, recording three saves.
