HCAC releases women's soccer preseason poll

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Coaches' Preseason women's soccer poll has been released and the Mount has been chosen to finish eighth this season. Transylvania University, which finished second in last season's conference standings, was chosen for the top spot, garnering eight, first-place votes, and recording 98 points.

They were followed in the poll by Hanover College (one, first-place votes, 85 points), Earlham College (one, first-place vote, 68 points), Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and Defiance College. Manchester University, Franklin College, the Mount, Bluffton University and Anderson University round out the poll.

The following Mount players were selected as "Players to Watch" for the 2013 season:

Lauren Bishnow   Senior                Midfielder          Huber Heights, OH/Wayne

Kayla Eiben          Sophomore         Midfielder          Erlanger, KY/Dixie Heights
