Lions' women's soccer team falls at home to HCAC-rival Defiance College, 1-0

Visiting Defiance College scored a goal with just under three minutes to play and held on for a 1-0 victory at the Mount on Saturday afternoon. The Lions fall to 0-10 on the season, 0-1 in the HCAC and will play next on Oct. 2 in an HCAC game at Bluffton University.

The Yellow Jackets out-shot the Mount in the game, 21-15, including 15-3 in shots on goal and held a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks. Madison Freeman (Wilder, KY/Newport Central Catholic) started in goal for the Lions and played all 90 minutes, recording 11 saves.
