Mount wrestling faces Ohio Northern University in home dual match

On Tuesday Night the Lions wrestled against the Ohio Northern Polar Bears in a dual match. It was senior night for four Mount Seniors, Cory Disbennett (Bethel, OH/Bethel-Tate), Tommy Fehring (Amelia, OH/Glen Este), Nolan Karwoski (Carmel, IN/Carmel), and Justin Meineke (Batavia, OH/McNicholas).

The Lions lost the match by a score of 27-15, but it would have been much closer if not for a forfeit in the 174 pound class. 4 Lions won their match against the Polar Bears. In the 133 pound class William Bryant (Lexington, KY/Lafayette) won by a decision of 9-5. In the 144 pound weight class Wayne Black (Indianapolis, IN/Pike) pinned his opponent with 4:44 left in the match, and scored six points for the Lions. Senior Tommy Fehring won his match by a decision of 8-4 in the 157 pound class. Fellow Senior Cory Disbennett also won his match by the score of 3-2 in the 165 pound class.

The Lions will next compete at the North Central College Invitational in Napierville, IL on Saturday December 8th.
