Mount freshman Erica Walsh (Louisville, KY/Sacred Heart) scored her second goal of the game with 5:49 left in the second half, and the Mount held on to post an 8-7 MWLC win at Beloit College. The Lions, 3-2 overall, 1-1 in the HCAC, will be back in action on April 2 when they host Transylvania Unviersity in non-conference action.

The Mount jumped out to a 2-0 lead, on goals from Chrissy O'Hara (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy) and Sarah Moderbacher (Ross, OH/Ross), and led 4-3 at the half on Saturday. Beloit, however, would score just after the halftime break, and add three more unanswered goals to take a 7-4 lead with 12:24 left in the game. The Mount would then go ona four-goal scoring spree of their own, with O'Hara notching the first goal of the run - her second score of the game - and Nicole Sifri (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) tallying the game-tying goal (seven-all), with 6:25 on the second half clock, setting the stage for Walsh's go-ahead score. Faith Koehne (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) added an assist on Walsh's game-winner.

Paige Apel (Cincinnati, OH/Seton) made 10 saves in goal for the Lions, recording the win. Beloit held a 31-21 advantage in shots, including 17-15 in shots on goal. Sifri, Walsh and O'Hara each had two goals in the game, while O'Hara added three assists. Samantha Hughes (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain) also scored a goal for the Mount.
