Host North Central College jumped out to a 6-0 lead on Saturday, en route to a 18-3 win in the 2013 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference opener for both teams. The Lions, 2-2 overall, will return to action on March 30 when they play at conference-foe Beloit College.

Samantha Hughes (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain) got the Lions on the board with just under 10 minutes to play, when she scored an unassisted goal. North Central College would go on to add four unanswered goals after that, rolling out to a 10-1 advantage just three minutes into the second half. Chrissy O'Hara (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy) and teammate Nicole Sifri (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) added second half goals for the Mount, both unassisted. O'Hara has now scored a team-high 16 goals this season.

North Central got goals from nine different players in the game, as they out-shot the Lions, 36-14 in the game, including 33-11 in shots on goal. Paige Apel (Cincinnati, OH/Seton) made 15 saves for the Mount.
