Wednesday, March 20, 2013 The College of Mount St. Joseph jumped out to an 11-3 halftime lead on Tuesday night, and rolled to a 19-7 win at Wilmington College. The Lions, 2-1 on the season, will be back in action on March 23 when they play an MWLC game at North Central College. The Mount got goals from four different players to start the game, leading 4-0 before the Quakers got on the scoreboard. The Lions would tack on five unanswered goals at that point, including two by leading scorer Chrissy O'Hara (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy), to forge ahead, 9-1. The Mount would continue to get a balanced scoring effort the rest of the way, as seven different players scored goals in the game. O'Hara led the way for the Mount, tallying seven goals and adding two assists. Kaci Overly (Morrow, OH/Little Miami) chipped in four goals for the Lions. Mount goalie Paige Apel (Cincinnati, OH/Seton) picked up the win, recording 12 saves. O'Hara's seven goals tied a Mount single-game mark.
