Jeff Newman begins his ninth season as head women’s golf coach for the Mount in 2013-2014. Coach Newman was hired in July 2005 by the College as a full-time coach with the duties of head women’s golf coach and assistant baseball coach.
Newman, who was an assistant baseball coach at the Mount for three seasons (2002-2004), was an assistant baseball coach at the University of Cincinnati before returning to the Mount. Newman has also been the head baseball coach for the Midland summer baseball program since 2002, an athletic director at Clermont Northeastern High School and Middle School (1998-2000), and head varsity baseball coach at CNE High School (1999-2000).
Newman graduated in 1998 from Barton College in Wilson, N.C., with a bachelor’s degree in sports administration. At Barton he played baseball for two seasons and was an All-Conference selection. He also played collegiately at Kentucky Wesleyan University for two seasons.
Coach Newman is a member of the USGA (United States Golf Association) and the NGCA (National Golf Coaches Association). He is also on the CRAA (Coordinating Representatives of Administrative Assembly) and the Mount Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
Newman and his wife, Michelle, two daughters, Bree and Corrine, and son Casey reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.
