Lions' women's golf team finishes ninth at the DePauw Small College Classic

Over the weekend the Lions traveled to Danville, IN to compete in the DePauw Small College Classic. The Mount placed ninth in the ten-team field finishing with a score of 760 for the weekend. Washington University finished first with a score of 628, followed by DePauw and Wittenberg University, who finished in a second place tie at 641.

Leading the Lions was senior Jeniffer Trame (Milford, OH/Milford) who finished in a tie for 33rd place. Trame started strong with a +11, 83 on Saturday, and finished with a 94 today, for a total of 177. Jennifer Vogel (Cincinnati, OH/Seton) and Kasey Dunn (Georgetown, KY/Scott County) both shot 194, good for second on the team, and a tie for 49th overall.  Another Lions' golfer to score for the team was Christen Riedl (Liberty Township, OH/Lakota West), who finished with a 195. Riedl led off with a 97, and followed with a 98 today, to finish in 52nd place. Sara Treash (Greensburg, IN/Greensburg Community) rounded out the Lions' team scorers.

The Lions will face off against Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana next Sunday in an 18-hole dual match. The Lions will then finish their season October 12-13 by participating in the HCAC Championships.
