Mount women's cross country team picked for 10th place in the HCAC Coaches' Preseason Poll

Mount St. Joseph University has been chosen for 10th place among the women's cross country squads in the HCAC Coaches' Preseason Poll.

The Hanover College and Manchester University’s women’s cross country teams have been selected as the front runner to win the 2014 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship. The Panthers and Spartans tallied 95 points and five first place votes each in a poll of the conference’s ten head coaches. 

Franklin College placed third in the poll with 78 points.  Anderson University finished fourth with 70 points and was followed by Earlham College (54 points), Bluffton University (45), Defiance College (42), Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (41), Transylvania University (20), and the Mount (10).

The following Mount players were selected as “Runners to Watch” this season:

Emily Wohlfrom    Senior                   Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills

Amanda Shelby    Junior                    Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West
