Women's Cross Country wraps up season at NCAA Regional

The College of Mount St. Joseph women’s cross country team competed in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional on November 16th. The Lions did not record a team score at the meet held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as they only had 4 runners. Calvin claimed the title followed closely by Oberlin and Hope. The individual champion was Cassandra Vince of Calvin, who finished the six-kilometer race in 21:27.8

The meet marked the final competition for one Lion senior; Emily Heyl (Cincinnati, OH/Seton). Heyl wrapped up her career finishing the 8,000 meter race with a 243rd place finish in a time of 36:43.3.

Emily Wolhfrom (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills) led the Lions with a 232nd place finish. She finished the race in a time of 29:24.2.
