Lions place 28th in the Wilmington College Fall Classic

The Mount cross country team made the trip to Wilmington, Ohio to compete agsint 32 other teams at the Wilmington Classic. The Lions placed 28th out of 33 teams. Other notable teams at the meet included the champions Ashland University, along with many HCAC members, including Hanover and Anderson.

Freshman Amanda Shelby (West Chester, OH/Lakota West) continued her solid season by breaking the 5,000 meter record for Mount runners, which she previously held. Shelby placed 19th overall out of 340 runners in a time of 19:05. Following her for the Mount was sophomore Emily Wolhfrom (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills), who finished in a time of 23:03

The Lions will return to action in two weeks on Saturday October 27th. They will travel to Bluffton, Ohio to compete in the HCAC Championships.
