Lions fall on road to Earlham 2-7

RICHMOND, Indiana—The Lions women's tennis team were defeated by the Quakers of Earlham College on September 28th, 2-7.  

The match started with the doubles portion, and the Lions were able to win one out of three matches. Katie Fellinger (North Bend, Ohio / Taylor) and Allison Sullivan (Cincinnati, Ohio / Seton) won the lone doubles match with a close 9-8 victory. Two other Lions, Jessica Berger (Milan, Indiana / Milan) and Kelsey Knodell (Delaware, Ohio / Rutherford B. Hayes), lost 8-5 in a close doubles match.

The Lions won one of the six singles matches in this matchup. Fellinger continues her hot streak with another singles victory. The Lions had a few other opportunities for wins in close fought battles between the Mount and the Quakers that fell to the benefit of Earlham.
