Mount wrestling opens season at the Case Western Reserve University Duals

The Mount St. Joseph University wrestling team opened its 2014-2015 season on Saturday at Case Western Reserve University, competing in four dual matches at the Bob Del Rosa Duals Tournament. The Lions recorded a 0-4 mark on the day, falling to Alma College, 49-5; Ohio Valley University, 39-10; John Carroll University, 44-9 and host Case Western, 39-12. The Mount will be back in action on Nov. 14 at Baldwin Wallace University for a dual match.

125-pounder Donny Herrington (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) led the Lions on the day at this weekend's duals, turning in a 4-0 mark. Herrington posted strong wins of 16-1 over his Alma opponent, pins against John Carroll and Case Western, and an 11-0 decision against Ohio Valley University. 184-pounder Tyler Ray (Liberty Township, OH/Lakota East) went 3-1, with a 6-4 win, a pin, and a win by forfeit. Ray's only loss was by a 7-5 score to his Alma College opponent.
