Lauren Hill To Receive Wilma Rudolph Courage Award

Lauren Hill, a basketball player for Mount St. Joseph University, who has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and will be playing in her first college basketball game on November 2 at the Cintas Center, will be presented the 2015 GCNKWSA Wilma Rudolph Courage Award at the game.

The Wilma Rudolph Courage Award goes  to a local female or female playing locally, who demonstrates the most courageous performance or “comeback” in sports. The athlete shows the ability to overcome adversity through persistence and determination. As a result of her courage and performance in sports, she serves as a positive role model for all.
