Lions travel for challenging race at Asbury Invitational

On Saturday October 21, the team traveled to Wilmore, Kentucky for the Chick-Fil-A invitational hosted by Asbury University. Despite the course having large hills aptly named "Agony" and "Agony's Sister," the men were able to persevere and perform very well.

Junior Chad Mason (Addyston, OH/Taylor) and Freshman Luke Danis (Yellowsprings, OH/ Carrol) were the top two runners for The Mount finishing with times of 31:05.3 and 31:06 respectively. Following the top runners were Freshman, Matthew Bruner (Dillsboro, IN/ South Dearborn) and Senior, Kevin Polking (Cincinnati, OH/ St. Xavier) who finished right after each other with times of 32:07.5 and 32:12.4. The top 6 runners for men continued to be consistent and again finished within almost one minute of each other.

This was the last race for Lions before the all-important Conference Meet at Manchester University. The men will continue to perform well as a team and build on what has proven to be a very successful season.
