CINCINNATI, Ohio—The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League has announced that Andrew Chisholm (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills) has earned offensive player of the week. The middle hitter led the Lions offense to a perfect 2-0 weekend in their first conference matches. Chisholm is in his third year at The Mount, studying Business Management.
The Lions traveled to Dubuque, IA and Rock Island, Ill to take on Loras College and Augustana University. The Lions quickly defeated both of their opponents in three straight sets to start conference play 2-0. Chisholm recorded 16 kills, and 4 blocks, while hitting an outstanding .655 over the weekend. In the first match against Loras College Chisholm recorded 9 kills and 3 blocks while hitting .553. Against Augustana University Chisholm recorded 7 kills and no errors, hitting a season high .778. This is Chisholm's second player of the week honor, last time earning defensive player of the week. This is the Mount's third player of the week honor this season.
The Lions will travel once again to Hiram College to take on three opponents over the weekend. On Friday, 2/23 they will take on Hiram College and Saturday, 2/24 they face Elmira College and Medaille College to finish the weekend. Check MSJsports.com to follow the Lions season.
