On Saturday, February 10 the men's track and field team traveled to Greencastle, Indiana for the DePauw University Invitational. The men finished in 10th place overall thanks to a strong team performance.
Junior, Drew Stark (Cincinnati, OH/ Roger Bacon) had a strong performance in the 60 M by breaking the school record with a time of 9.22 which gave him and 7th place finish overall. Sophomore, Tre'on Taylor had another strong performance in the 60 M dash by finishing 4th place overall with a time of 7.19.
The relay teams had a great day as three teams were able to place in the top 8. Luke Danis (Yellow Springs, OH/ Carroll), Matt Bruner (Dillsboro, IN/ South Dearborn), Zach Mays (Cincinnati, OH/ Reading), and Brian Bauer (Cincinnati, OH/ Oak Hills) ran the Distance Medley in time of 12:46.17 which put them in 6th place.
The 4x400 M team consisting of Chad Mason (Cincinnati, OH/ Taylor), Drew Stark (Cincinnati, OH/ Roger Bacon), Tre'on Taylor (Winter Park, FL/ Winter Park), and Gunner Froelicher (Alexandria, KY/ Campbell Co.) were able to finish 7th overall with a time of 3:44.05. The 4x200 team also performed well coming in 6th place overall with a time of 1:37.29.
The men had solid performance all around with over 20 PR's being broke between the men and women's team. The team will perform next week at Anderson University for the HCAC Indoor Conference Championship.
