Two Lions Land All-HCLC Honors

Two Lions Land All-HCLC Honors

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Mount St. Joseph men's lacrosse team had a rough 2019 season. They finished fourth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season standings and made it to the postseason, going 2-14 with a 2-6 HCLC record. Despite the record the Lions fought hard every game and two Lions earned honors by the conference in a release made today.

The man leading the charge for the Lions this season was junior Kevin McClanahan (Madeira, Ohio/Madeira) who received a spot on 2nd team all-conference. McClanahan played attack for the Lions and led the team in goals with 32 total. He also landed sixth in the conference for most goals in the season. McClanahan also broke a team record this season scoring 9 goals in a single game.

The Lions also congratulate senior Tony Behler (Cincinnati, Ohio/Elder) who received HCLC receiving a spot on the All-Sportsmanship team for the 2019 season. Behler has been an integral of the Lions offense over the last few seasons. His attitude and leadership will be missed next year.

Congrats to all of the players who received Conference Honors and we can't wait to see what the future holds. Thank you for a great season and check back in at MSJSports.com for updates on the 2020 season!
