ADRIAN, MI - The Mount St. Joseph University Lions traveled to take on the Bulldogs of Adrian College. The Bulldogs got off to a large lead and The Mount was not able to come back and ended falling on the road with the final score of 18-3.
The first quarter went in the hands of Adrian College as the took a quick lead and scored 10 goals within the first 15 minutes of the game. The Mount had a lot of ground to recover if they hope to head back to Cincinnati with a victory. Collin Matt (Jamestown, OH / Greenview) was able to put The Lions on the board as he scored unassisted within 10 seconds of starting quarter number two. The Bulldogs would answer back halfway through the quarter which led to The Lions trailing at halftime with the score 11-1.
The third quarter belonged to The Lions as they were able to score two goals to the Bulldogs zero. The first goal came halfway through the quarter when Matt got an assist from Jake Pangallo (Cincinnati, OH / Amelia) and found the back of the net. The Mount scored one more goal with less than 2 minutes left in the quarter as Noah Borgdorf (Bellevue, MI / Bellevue) shot the ball passed the goalie with an assist from TJ Ahrens (Cincinnati, OH / St. Xavier). The Bulldogs would finish just as strong as they started scoring another seven goals before the time ran out. As the buzzer sounded the final score was not in favor of The Mount as they fell to the Bulldogs 18-3.
