Men's basketball clipped on road at Capital

Mount St. Joseph University (1-3,0-0 HCAC) lost on the road to Capital University (3-3, 0-0) 77-56. Femi Thompson led the Lions with 12 points.

started the game strong scoring a layup to give the Lions the lead 4-3. The Lions fell behind 40-22 at halftime with Capital shooting 51 percent from the field.

In the second half, senior Femi Thompson hit an early layup to start the scoring. The Lions were more productive from the field in the second half, shooting 45 percent. The three-point line would be the team's undoing. The Lions made just two of the 15 three-pointers attempted in the game, while Capital knocked down nine of their 17 three-point shots.

Andrew Finley lead the team in scoring 13 points. Thompson and Finley lead the team in rebounds with four. Travis Combs had 2 assists.

The Lions are at home Wednesday night when they take on Anderson University at 7:30 p.m. in the HCAC opener.
