Lions' softball players Morgan Kain and Paige Norton garner All-HCAC accolades

Mount outfielders Morgan Kain (Batesville, IN/Batesville) and Paige Norton (Cincinnati, OH/Reading) have been selected to the All-HCAC softball teams following their play this spring. Kain was named First Team All-HCAC while Norton was an Hononable Mention selection.

Kain, a freshman, batted .500 in conference play this season, going 25-for-50, and leading the team in RBI (eight) and stolen bases (14) in the 16 HCAC games. Overall, she led the team in hits (43), total bases (52) and stolen bases (26), while compiling a .410 batting average, 21 runs scored, 12 RBI and 11 walks.

Norton, a junior, batted .340 in HCAC action this season, and had a team-high 13 runs scored. Overall, Norton batted .306, had 17 runs scored, 30 hits, 14 RBI and five stolen bases.She was also a 2013 HCAC Honorable Mention selection.
