Visiting Bluffton University scored early in both games on Saturday afternoon as they posted a 5-1, 7-4 HCAC doubleheader sweep over the Lions. The Mount, 4-16 overall, 1-5 in the conference, returns to action on April 11 with a doubleheader at Wilmington College.

The Beavers jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the first inning of game one, as the Lions got on the scoreboard with an RBI groundout by Taylor McElhinny, (Crestwood, KY/Oldham County)  plating teammate Mallory Wright (Germantown, OH/Valley View). Bluffton recorded two RBI singles in the fourth inning to complete the scoring in the game, as they held the Lions to five hits, and stranding four Mount baserunners. McElhinny suffered the pitching loss, tossing a complete game, allowing six hits and four earned runs. Wright had three hits to lead the offense.

In game two, the two teams were tied one-all after one inning of play, as the Lions got their run on a Bluffton infield error. The Beavers would add three runs in the third inning, and two more runs in the fourth inning, to grab a 6-1 advantage. The Mount would get three of those runs back in the sixth inning, with two scoring on fielding errors and one on an RBI by Ashley Moore (Cincinnati, OH/Northwest). Bluffton added an unearned run in the seventh inning, for the final margin. Paige Norton (Cincinnati, OH/Reading) led the offense in the second game, recording three hits while Moore chipped in two hits. McElhinny had a double. Kim McElhinny (Crestwood, KY/Oldham County) and Leslie Biggs (Harrison, OH/Harrison) shared the pitching duties in the night-cap.
