The College of Mount St. Joseph women's tennis team opened the 2010 season with a 6-3 loss at home against Asbury College.

Judy Frey (Cedar Grove, IN/Franklin County), at first singles, and Brittany Teagle (Albany, IN/Delta), at third singles captured straight set wins for the Lions, while their second doubles team of Lauren McDonald (Cincinnati, OH/Seton) and Teagle recorded an 8-5 victory.

The Mount (0-1) is back in action on Sept. 4 when they travel to Defiance College for matches against the Yellow Jackets and Franklin College.
