Darien Bradley, a 6-foot -1 outside hitter from Las Vegas, NV will attend the College in the fall and play volleyball for the Lions next season, Mount Head Coach Ryan Lengerich announced today.

Bradley is a second-year captain at Arbor View High School where he plays for Head Coach John Gibbons.

“Darien is a great jumper and smart all-around player,’’ Lengerich said. “He reached out to us late in the recruiting process and we are very glad he did because he could make an impact next season. Darien was raised in Dayton before moving as a child out west and he still has family in Dayton, so this is a coming home of sorts.”

Bradley also played this past year for Vegas Xtreme Volleyball under Head Coach Raymond Lewis.

"It’s would be hard to meet a nicer and better-spoken young man than Darien,” Lengerich said. “He made a great impression on me and the team and we are excited he chose the Mount.”

Bradley played three years of club volleyball and four years in high school, including the last three on varsity. As a junior in 2013, Bradley was named Second Team All-Conference. This past year, he was selected First Team Northwest, Second Team All-Region, and Second Team All-State.

He joins Zack Storc and Mooch Randolph, both of Columbus, Ohio, Nathan Herdeman of Cincinnati, Jason Renneker of Liberty Township, Ohio, Adam Williams of Chicago, and Chris Ales of Bolingbrook, IL as new members on next year’s team.

Bradley also played basketball in high school. He intends to major in Sport Management.

Darien is the son of Tracy and DaJuan Franklin.
