The College of Mount St. Joseph officially announces that Brett Cooper (Cincinnati, OH/La Salle) will attend the College in the fall and play volleyball.

Cooper, at 6-foot-3, played numerous positions for his high school team for four seasons, and had a personal-high of 19 kills in one match. In addition, Cooper, who also played basketball, was on his school’s Honor Roll this year.

Mount first-year Head Coach Ryan Lengerich had this to say about Cooper, who played as an outside hitter as a junior and was moved to setter his senior season.

“Brett is an outstanding athlete with good size who is willing to take on any role as a player to help his team,’’ Lengerich stated. “He has shown the versatility to play the outside, right side and lead his team as a setter. He is vocal and intense and will no doubt bring a fire to the Mount’s men’s volleyball team.”
